2018 Winter Hackathon
Location: River City Labs
You can find it on Google Maps for easy directions. Once you get to the building, it can be a little confusing. We’ll try to put signs out but if you get stuck give us a call (a phone number should be on the welcome email you’ll get the day of the event). Once you get out of the elevator turn right and you should see the event registration.
Attendance: Tickets Required
Due to the expected high demand and venue security requirements, everyone will need a valid ticket to enter the building. All participant tickets are completely free! The spectator tickets require a small donation, and there’s only a limited amount available. You can pay as little or as much as you want. (although eventbrite enforces a $1 minimum)
The hackathon is completely free of charge for all participants. That is anyone who is coming along for all (or most) of the weekend to help create a hack. However, if you’re coming along to spectate or just network, you’ll need a spectator’s ticket. These are pay what you want, and start at $1.
Food/Drinks: fully catered
The entire event will be fully catered. Each participant ticket allows you to come along for dinner on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights. Lunch and brekky on Saturday/Sunday is also included. Spectator tickets allow you to grab some dinner on Friday/Sunday nights. We’ll also be serving limited alcohol on Friday and Sunday nights.
We’ve got some awesome prizes in the works. This section will be updated as we confirm more.
We’ve organised for some pretty cool people to come along and give some lightning talks to help you build your hack. We’ll have some covering general tech, how to make an MVP fast and also a pitching coach.
